Kinesiology in Abbotsford
Kinesiology is the study of the mechanics and anatomy of human movement. A Kinesiologist uses the principles of physics and knowledge of biomechanics to improve performance and function of individual clients. Kinesiology employs evidence based scientific research and assessment to assist in the prevention and rehabilitation of injury, lifestyle diseases, and other physiological conditions in environments such as work and sport. A kinesiologist’s ultimate goal is to assist a client to be able to return to their pre-injury lifestyle. A detailed assessment, including both subjective and objective measures of current pain levels, posture and range of motion values, will give the therapist an understanding of functional movement and muscle imbalances. Each program is personalized to the client to help restore ability.
